" Dad, We resent being refered to as 'Sending our kids to war.' We are highly trained professionals, who serve and protect our country |

Training that surpasses all understanding of the average citizen.

"And this old guy was ahead of us all the way ... with a camera!"
I'm asked constantly why I let two of my sons become Marines. My answer is simply. "It takes two Marines to whip a Sailor." (of course, then there is protection in old age)

The Real Thing...Leaving for Iraq.
"Dad, we fight to protect our country, our countries values,
and we do it there, so we won't have to at home. I am so
glad that I don't have to guess at your support for what
I am doing. I am so glad that you don't give me that crap
about supporting the troops, but not the war. You know
that's a slap in the face to we, who are serving our
Commander and Chief and our country. Dad, your
'total support' helps me maintain my confidence and
ability to protect myself and excel in my job."
I saw a licence plate frame that said,
"Enjoying your freedom?...YOUR WELCOME."
